New Digital Dollar guides and tools to be unveiled at MMF Social

02 October 2017

Following on from the findings of part two of the MMF’s ‘Dissecting The Digital Dollar’ project, this month we will publish two new free guides for members. ‘The Deals Guide’ explains the workings, legalities and pros and cons of the various different kinds of label and distribution deals available to artists today. ‘The Transparency Guide’ identifies all the information and data artists and managers require from their business partners to fully understand and succeed in the streaming business.
Chris Cooke from CMU Insights, who has written the new guides, will unveil them both at the MMF Social on 5 Oct. We will also demo the new MMF Digital Deals Calculator that will help managers assess the merits of different label and distribution deals, and introduce the MMF Transparency Index that will allow managers to compare just how transparent different business partners really are. The guides, Calculator and Index will then go live on the MMF website later in October.
The launch is on Thursday 5th October from 6pm, at the MMF Offices (Fora, 71 Central Street, London, EC1V 8BU). Please RSVP to phoebe@themmf.net as spaces are limited. We will follow this with members drinks.
