Busk in London Programme: an update & opportunity

The London Music Breakfast was hosted in the House of Lords this week to discuss how high profile busking locations throughout London could offer significant benefits to a new generation of young performers. 

It was agreed that the attendees including David Stopps, who attended on behalf of the MMF, would collectively raise the credibility and profile of busking to attract more young performers onto the Busk in London programme whilst continuing to support London’s grassroots venues.

If you would like to get involved, the next steps are a March 16th press launch, taking place at Kings Cross Station Concourse at 8.30am.

This launch will announce a new circuit of performance pitches throughout Network Rail stations. Performers who are present on March 16th will be able to sign up to the Busk in London Festival and International Busking Day happening in July.
