We were at ILMC discussing the health of the live music sector with a group of representatives from other trade bodies.

 

We partnered up with YouTube Music for the second instalment of our Insight Series. This session covered ‘Understanding Monetization‘. The next session, ‘Export Strategy for Artists‘, is on Thursday, 21st March at 11am.

PRS for Music have announced their updated works registration tool, Register My Music. The updated tool now offers the following features: Full mobile and tablet support so you can register works on the go, a new ‘pending registration’ page so you can track the status of your works, a streamlined process for registering multiple works and easier registration of works under pseudonyms.

Songwriters and publishers are due nearly $400 million in additional payouts following the Copyright Royalty Board‘s Phonorecord III final determination in August, according to information the Mechanical Licensing Collective (the MLC) released on 23rd February.
