Where are you based?
London
How long have you worked in Management?
7 years
Who do you manage now?
Sunday Best, Uninvited, Iblamealiyah
Where did you find your first client and what inspired you to take them on?
It was long ago and I even didn’t know I was doing music management at the time.
What does a good/bad day at work look like for you?
When the day starts with a coffee, as it usually does, and my team and artists and I are aligned in our work, even a bad day feels manageable. There’s nothing in what we do that can’t be fixed. As Bruce Lee said, “Be water, my friend.”
What has been the highlight of your management career to date?
One of the biggest highlights of my career at this stage has been, and still is, making the decision not to compromise my values, and choosing who I want to work with and how I want to work in this industry. It is an everyday choice, not an easy one, because it precludes many opportunities.
What do you think are the big challenges for a manager in 2025?
I believe that every manager faces their own challenges, some of which are shared by most: constant risk-taking, intense competition, and uncertainty. I can only speak from my own perspective: being a young, queer manager in the music industry means being underestimated by other managers, having to prove your worth and knowledge more than anyone else, and, if you are not British, the challenge is amplified even further. But time are changing, luckily, so we stay positive.
What music are you currently listening to?
A part the artists I’m working with, here a bunch worth to give a listen: Grove, Turnstile, Divide and Dissolve, Bobby Sanchez, Sofia Isella, Upchuck, Pinkshift, Hyphen.
Why would you recommend the MMF?
It’s been a great resource for staying up to date with the music industry and connecting with other colleagues.
