Appetite for Disruption Conference

08 January 2018

It could be said that the rise in music piracy and the subsequent fall in the perceived value of music of the early naughties was down to prehistoric business models protected by equally prehistoric music bosses. If the music industry had paid more attention to the #NextGenerationInMusic and their consumption habits, everyone would have benefited. Appetite For Disruption is all about getting ahead of the game by listening to the next generation as well as challenging, educating and inspiring them!

The schedule includes talks on the future of streaming, the art of songwriting, the future of radio, and traditional labels vs. label services. There is also a keynote speech from Michael Dugher – CEO of UK Music.

This event is aimed at all types of music students, and younger people wanting to break into the industry.

Appetite for Disruption takes place on Friday 26th January from 9AM-5PM, at the Clarendon Centre, Brighton.
