MMF are pleased to announce that we have been awarded one of the first Arts Council England investments from the Music Growth Package (MGP), with 11 awards made through the MGP Sector Bodies Programme, totalling £837,750.
Further details of Scale Up and ways in which MMF will be supporting members to apply for Music Growth Fund initiatives will be announced soon.
A one-off fund for established music industry bodies, the MGP Sector Bodies Programme will boost UK music creators and independent businesses, investing in skills, artist support and global export opportunities.
The sector body awardees are:
- Alliance of Independent Promoters
- Association of Independent Festivals
- Association of Independent Music
- BPI
- ESEA Music
- Featured Artist Coalition
- The Ivors Academy
- Music Managers Forum
- Music Producers Guild
- Music Venue Trust
- Night Time Industries Association
Collectively, these first awards will directly benefit over 5,000 artists and music creators, 1,200 individual industry professionals and 7,500 music businesses. In total these funded initiatives are also set to benefit over 20,000 members and at least 3,000 individuals and organisations who are not currently members of the 11 sector bodies.
The investment will create more accessible routes to music industry jobs, support independent and smaller businesses, strengthen regional provision, improve representation and develop the infrastructure that enables people to build sustainable careers including taking their work to the international stage.
The MGP Sector Bodies Programme is part of the £45 million Music Growth Package, a three-year UK Government and Arts Council England investment programme to back artists, music creators, industry professionals and music businesses across the UK. The Package expects to support more than 2,000 projects over three years, benefiting at least 40,000 artists and music professionals, and thousands of music fans across the UK and beyond.
The Package was announced as part of “Turn It Up: Our Plan for Music“, a long-term strategic policy paper and support package launched by Secretary of State, Lisa Nandy in July 2026. This ambitious plan to back the music industry reaffirms government’s commitment to ensuring the UK is the best place in the world to create, experience and invest in music.
