The FAC and MMF go on tour with a UK Roadshow!

15 November 2011

The FAC and MMF are very pleased to announce the launch of their first Roadshow, organised in partnership with I Like The Sound Of That.

The FAC and MMF Roadshow aims to reach musicians and managers who are based outside of London, providing all with an opportunity to meet, discuss industry issues and find out about the work they do. The half day event will explore what it means to be an artist and manager today in this rapidly changing digital age and look at what support is available.

In conjunction with local educational establishments, the FAC and MMF will look at how students can apply what they learn to the real world and provide both artist and manager perspectives on curriculum subjects. Topics covered will include, for example, what copyright and term extension mean to both established and emerging artists and how issues surrounding intellectual property are impacting the industry.

Both organisations will provide a brief introduction to their services, its objectives and how they can provide valuable support to artists and managers at all stages of their careers. There will also be partner presentations and various industry professionals, including managers, artists, representatives from collection bodies, lawyers and band-fan tech companies, will be on hand to share their experiences and advice.

All roadshow dates will be free to attend by invitation only – get in touch for more details.
